From a Military Childhood to the NFL
Trenton Simpson was born in Georgia but spent much of his childhood moving due to his father’s military service. Eventually settling in North Carolina, he grew up with a deep appreciation for discipline, sacrifice, and perseverance—qualities that would define his athletic journey. Raised by a single mother, he was determined to make her proud by becoming the first in his family to graduate college while chasing his dream of playing professional football.
Trent originally played running back in high school until a rib injury in 10th grade forced him to switch to linebacker—a decision that ultimately changed the course of his career. By his senior year, he was the top linebacker in the state and a five-star recruit, earning a scholarship to Clemson. There, he had a standout career, contributing immediately and helping lead the Tigers to an ACC Championship. Even with football success, his biggest personal achievement was earning his degree in Sports Communications in just three years before declaring for the NFL Draft. His transition to the Baltimore Ravens was seamless, thanks to his experience at Clemson, where he had already been immersed in a winning culture with high expectations. Now, entering his second NFL season, he is embracing the process, learning from veteran leaders, and competing at the highest level while preparing for his future beyond football.

The Trenton Simpson Foundation: Supporting Military Families
Growing up in a military household, Trenton saw firsthand the challenges that military families face, from frequent relocations to the sacrifices made by service members. Wanting to give back, he launched the Trenton Simpson Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting military families and single mothers.
Through his foundation, Trenton provides resources, events, and opportunities for children of military parents, including inviting families to games, hosting youth football camps, and creating mentorship programs. His first foundation event took place in Baltimore, and he continues to expand its reach, ensuring that the next generation of young athletes and military kids have the guidance, support, and experiences they need to succeed.
Exploring Business & Building for the Future
At just 23 years old, Trent is already thinking ahead and preparing for life beyond the game. While football remains his top priority, he has developed a strong interest in real estate, business ownership, and financial growth, recognizing the importance of building generational wealth for his family. Attending PAC’s Scottsdale event opened his eyes to new opportunities in real estate and business, allowing him to learn directly from experienced professionals and veteran athletes who have successfully made the transition. While he doesn’t know exactly what type of business he wants to start yet, he is committed to educating himself, networking, and making strategic investments that will set him up for long-term success. Just as he competes on the field, Trent is taking the same relentless mindset into his future ventures, ensuring that he makes the most of every opportunity—both in football and beyond.
