Family Values That Built a solid Foundation
Growing up in a small town in Texas, Tanner Mordecai learned early on that success isn’t always about the flashiest start — it’s about staying the course. Raised in a close-knit family where faith and hard work were everyday values, Tanner developed a mindset centered around controlling what he can control. His parents instilled in him the importance of discipline, humility, and grit, values that became his foundation as he navigated the ups and downs of football and life. From being under-recruited in high school to being overlooked during his early college years, Tanner never lost sight of his goals. Every setback — transfers, injuries, or being undrafted — only deepened his resilience and strengthened his belief that staying true to your character matters more than chasing instant rewards. His family, faith, and internal drive have always been his compass, helping him stay grounded, motivated, and focused no matter how tough the journey gets.
A Football Journey Fueled by Grit
Tanner’s football path took him across some of the biggest stages in college football. At Oklahoma, he honed his craft behind future NFL stars like Kyler Murray and Jalen Hurts. At SMU, he finally got his chance to shine, setting records and leading one of the most explosive offenses in the country before injuries cut his final season short. His decision to transfer to Wisconsin for a final chapter showed his refusal to settle — always pushing for growth, leadership, and another opportunity to compete. Now with the San Francisco 49ers, Tanner embodies the relentless work ethic it takes to keep chasing the dream, proving that betting on yourself is always worth it.
Investing in what’s next
Beyond football, Tanner is already planting seeds for the future. His experience at PAC opened his eyes to the possibilities within real estate, particularly in residential and multifamily investments. He’s intentional about learning, growing, and surrounding himself with people who elevate him. Whether cultivating new connections at PAC, reconnecting with old friends in Dallas, or investing time in personal development, Tanner approaches every opportunity with faith and authenticity. He knows success after football isn’t automatic — but with the same discipline and resilience that carried him through college and into the league, he’s building a future that’s as meaningful off the field as it is on it.
