Auburn Roots & NFL Journey

Shedrick “Shed” Jackson’s football journey began at Hoover High School in Alabama, where he emerged as a standout wide receiver. His exceptional performance earned him a scholarship to Auburn University, where he played from 2018 to 2022. During his tenure with the Tigers, Shed demonstrated resilience and dedication, overcoming injuries to become a pivotal player. Balancing athletics with academics, he earned a degree in Business, reflecting his commitment to personal development beyond the gridiron.

After going undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft, Shed signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as a free agent. He spent time on their practice squad and was elevated to the active roster for a game against the Houston Texans in November 2023, marking his NFL debut. In December 2024, he joined the Las Vegas Raiders’ practice squad and later secured a reserve/future contract in January 2025, positioning himself for continued growth in the professional arena. Shed’s journey from high school standout to NFL wide receiver exemplifies perseverance, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, both on and off the field.

While Shed remains fully committed to his NFL career, he is also laying the foundation for his future outside of football. With a degree in Business and a natural curiosity for entrepreneurship, he is focused on learning, networking, and gaining real-world experience in various industries. Attending PAC’s Scottsdale event exposed him to business leaders, seasoned entrepreneurs, and former athletes who have successfully transitioned into new ventures. Seeing firsthand how others have built financial security and generational wealth, he is now exploring opportunities in real estate, investing, and potential business ownership.

Just as he approaches football with discipline and a competitive mindset, Shed is taking the same intentional approach to preparing for long-term success. He understands that the game won’t last forever, and he is determined to make smart moves now that will set him up for the future.

Giving Back & Mentorship

Shed understands the importance of giving back and being a mentor for the next generation. Coming from a football family and having experienced the ups and downs of both college and professional sports, he recognizes the impact that strong guidance and leadership can have on younger athletes.

He has started informally mentoring young players, sharing his experiences about overcoming adversity, handling the pressures of the game, and preparing for life beyond football. Whether it’s offering advice on training, discipline, or navigating the transition from college to the pros, he takes pride in helping others learn from his journey. As he continues to grow in his career, he hopes to use his platform to support youth football programs, provide leadership to young athletes, and help guide them toward success—both on and off the field. In the future, he envisions launching programs, camps, or initiatives that equip young athletes with the tools and knowledge they need to excel in football and beyond.
