Family Man
Married to Kelsey since 2019, Mike considers himself a family man and is deeply committed to doing the inner work to be the best he can for his family. Mike and Kelsey have two young children: a son, Matthew, who turned three in September, and Tatum, an 11-month-old daughter. As his family grows, he is beginning to understand that life isn’t solely about work. This realization is prompting him to reevaluate what is most important to him and focus more on the needs and happiness of his wife and children. Balancing his professional aspirations with his role as a husband and father is a top priority.
Creative Development Process
Mike, along with two business partners, rapidly expanded their real estate portfolio from one unit to 420 units since 2020. They created a fully integrated real estate company, Creative Development Partners in Nashville, TN, growing quickly in a short time. While one partner aspires to grow the business into a massive enterprise, Mike prefers a more stable approach. He aims to stabilize his current properties and pay them down with cash rather than dealing with numerous investors daily. He plans to focus on a few deals a year instead of many, managing triple net leases for properties like a bar and Save-A-Lot store, as well as multifamily residential units. His approach reflects a balance between growth and stability, aligning with his personal goals and work philosophy.
Adventurer
An avid adventurer, Mike can often be found on the waters bait fishing or even taking on the art of fly fishing. Whether in South Florida, the Bahamas, or even Belize, Mike enjoys the challenge and adventure that fishing brings. Recently, he took his passion for exploration to new heights by participating in a grade 6-9 NFL-style football combine, hosted by the Canon-McMillan Football Association, where he’s a proud alumnus. Working with middle schoolers, Mike finds a unique thrill, channeling his love for the game into mentoring young athletes. Some might consider this dedication to youth sports another form of adventure, blending his love of the game with a commitment to inspiring the next generation.
