Real Estate Career
Kona has always had a natural ability to connect with people and build relationships, making real estate a perfect fit for him. His interest in the industry sparked in 2022 when a friend and former teammate, who was already in real estate, closed a major deal while they were in the car together. Seeing the potential firsthand, Kona realized real estate could provide both financial success and long-term career stability beyond baseball.Determined to get a head start, he began studying for his real estate license while still playing professionally, completing the process in six months and officially becoming a licensed agent in Arizona in 2023. What initially started as a way to earn extra income during the baseball offseason quickly turned into a passion and a full-time career path. Now, Kona specializes in residential real estate, helping individuals and families find homes while also learning the ins and outs of property investment. With a relentless drive to grow in the industry, Kona actively seeks mentorship, soaks up as much knowledge as possible, and builds his professional network. He believes that just like in baseball, success in real estate comes from discipline, consistency, and a commitment to learning. Looking ahead, he aspires to expand his business, venture into real estate investments, and use his platform to help other athletes navigate life after sports through real estate opportunities.

"PAC was unlike anything I’ve ever been a part of. It was inspiring, motivating, and powerful to be surrounded by like-minded people who truly care. As one of the only baseball guys there, I never once felt out of place—because every athlete goes through the same transition. The education, relationships, and real conversations at PAC set me up for success after baseball, giving me the clarity and confidence to move forward with purpose."
