tribal roots
Devine comes from a close-knit Nigerian family rooted in Texas. His parents still reside in their Dallas childhood home, while his brother and sister live with him, and another sister resides in Allen. The Ozigbos maintain strong ties to their tribal heritage, emphasizing unity and personal growth. In addition, his moral background and the principles he lives by, understanding that “God never asked him to be perfect, just to be Christian,” guide much of his decision-making. A first-generation American, he appreciates the values instilled by his upbringing and the cultural richness of his Nigerian roots. Despite his busy schedule, Devine hopes to revisit Nigeria this year.
real estate
Starting his own real estate business prior to attending the NYC PAC Business Combine, Devine was in awe of the insightful conversations with experts at the top of the real estate game during the event. His current portfolio includes a few leased single-family homes across the Dallas area where his mom plays a pivotal role as his property manager. In addition, he is exploring new opportunities, including flips and plans for self-storage facilities on some of his land holdings. Beyond the U.S., Devine has also invested in real estate in his familial homeland of Nigeria, where he owns several condos and is nearing completion on a hotel project. His strategic investments coupled with a new perspective of his skill set are laying the foundation for a strong financial future, positioning him for continued success in both domestic and international real estate markets.
drum roll
Devine recently invested in Drum Roll through the venture capital group 4th & 1 Ventures, which targets athletes with capital and influence to enhance brand value. Drum Roll offers gluten-free, plant-based donuts, designed as a post-workout treat that combines health benefits with great taste. This investment marks Devine’s first venture with 4th & 1, aligning his interest in health-conscious products with strategic investments. He believes Drum Roll has potential for growth, particularly through improved branding strategies that can enhance market appeal and customer engagement.
