I was in a rut after playing and pac helped get me out of that. the program gave me structure that i was missing and introduced me to mentors that helped me with the next steps to furthering my education and my passive investments journey.

7 YEARS IN THE NFL

Education

Derrick’s primary focus right now is his continued education. He is currently going to school and, while writing papers and reading articles isn’t his favorite thing, he is enjoying learning how to research and teach himself new skills. He enjoys the learning process and finding new ways to convince others to invest in him.

Sports Management

As a Sports Management student, Derrick is seeing a whole new side of the sports agency business and is bringing his own unique view to the field. Once he graduates, Derrick is looking forward to expanding his network and adding value to any agency that brings him on. As a former professional athlete, Derrick has a unique insight into the struggles and values of any player that might be interested in his agency. He understands the mentality that these young athletes come in with and is able to get a leg up on the competition with that intuition.

Real Estate

Through his time at Next Chapter U, Derrick was able to realize that his passion doesn’t lie in chasing down real estate deals. Instead, he enjoys passive investment and has put his knowledge of taxes and his network to use in his current real estate endeavors. Currently, Derrick is invested in single-family homes and he hopes to break into the multi-family space soon. By building a solid foundation of single-family properties and expanding his knowledge, he has been able to continue hunting for the next perfect property in a cutthroat market.
