Family & Community Connection
Houston has always been home for Daniel. Returning there after his playing career has allowed him to reconnect with the people who shaped him the most. His mom, stepfather, grandmother, sister, niece, and nephew all live nearby, and Daniel values every opportunity to spend time with them. Whether it’s quick visits or quality time, being present for his family is a priority. Being closely involved in his niece and nephew’s lives is especially meaningful to him. It gives Daniel a chance to pour into the next generation the same way others once poured into him. That sense of family connection, love, and responsibility keeps him grounded and motivated. It reminds him every day of what truly matters: showing up, giving back, and leading with heart and purpose.
