Chris Wormley’s biggest accomplishment isn’t his NFL career, it’s the family he and his wife have built together. Married to his high school sweetheart for nearly seven years, they have two daughters who inspire him daily. Through every high and low in football, his wife has been by his side, and together they continue to grow, learn, and lead their family with love and purpose. Chris is intentional about being a present father, showing his daughters what it means to work hard, push through adversity, and pursue goals with discipline. Every decision he makes, from football to business to philanthropy, is with them in mind. He wants them to see firsthand what it takes to succeed and to understand that setbacks are just stepping stones to greater success.

Real Estate & Business Growth

Chris has always been drawn to real estate. He loves the tangible nature of it, the ability to track investments, and the long-term security it provides. His journey in real estate started early, fueled by curiosity and a hands-on approach. In college, he interned for the property management company overseeing his apartment complex, giving him a behind-the-scenes look at the industry. That experience showed him the ins and outs of property management, investment strategy, and the importance of building a solid financial foundation. His interest in real estate never faded, but when he was traded in 2020, he saw it as the perfect time to take action. He purchased his first duplex near Michigan’s campus, learning firsthand what it takes to be an investor. From handling tenants to understanding the financial side of ownership, he embraced the challenges that came with it. That first investment sparked a deeper passion, and since then, his portfolio has expanded significantly.

Now, he owns 15 units, primarily in Ohio, along with student housing properties in Ann Arbor, Michigan. His approach is strategic, focusing on scaling smartly, managing risk, and ensuring long-term growth. He understands that real estate is more than just owning properties—it’s about making informed decisions, staying adaptable, and continuously learning. Chris is always looking to level up, surrounding himself with experienced professionals in the industry and staying up to date on market trends. Whether it’s through hands-on management or studying the financial side of investing, he is committed to building something that lasts well beyond his football career. His goal is not just to create wealth but to establish a foundation that will provide stability and opportunities for his family for years to come.

The Wormley Family Foundation

Giving back has always been important to Chris and his wife. Early in his career, they started a donor-advised fund, allowing them to support various charities through initiatives like back-to-school programs and holiday shopping sprees for kids in need. But they wanted to do more. In 2023, they launched The Wormley Foundation, an organization dedicated to education and inspiring youth in their hometown of Toledo, Ohio, and their current home in Michigan. Their impact is already being felt—hosting a free football camp for the past three years in Toledo, giving kids access to mentorship and skill-building opportunities. This summer, they are taking things to the next level with their first major fundraising event, a golf outing in Toledo, designed to raise money to continue their work and expand their outreach. For Chris, The Wormley Foundation is about more than just giving back. It’s about creating meaningful change, opening doors for the next generation, and making a lasting difference in the communities that shaped him.
