Charles started the Legacy Makers Block Party in Kansas City, stemming from his participation in the community group, Winner’s Circle. Grown to be a mainstay occasion, Mayor Quinton Lucas proclaimed July 15th to be “Charles & Ishmail Day”, recognizing their contributions to the city. Emphasizing community support and local talent, this event showcases local artists and entrepreneurs through a block party, networking mixer, and sports clinics.
Advocacy
After enduring his fair share of family-related challenges, Charles is a loyal supporter of the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. His mother’s diagnosis impacts him profoundly, inspiring him to help others suffering from the illness and contribute to research. Charles has contributed to numerous campaigns, raising money and awareness for multiple sclerosis.
Youth
Charles introduces young football lovers in Canton, OH, to the NFL experience, hosting the Tyler Scott Lancaster Foundation Football Camp. In partnership with a neighborhood community center supporting all those touched by diabetes, the event promotes the commitment to personal, cultural, recreational, and educational welfare. Through his participation, Charles emphasizes his dedication to health and active lifestyles while teaching football skills and sportsmanship.
Family Experiences
Charles happily shares his day-to-day life with his family. They embrace growth and new beginnings, with his wife preparing for medical school and two lively young girls that pretty much run the home. During their recent travels to Ghana, they encountered amazing cultures and experiences, making long-lasting memories together.
