With close ties to Newport News, Virginia, Antoine established District 41 Sports Bar in January 2018. Named after his high school sports number, the restaurant serves as a community hub for sports enthusiasts to come together and have a good time eating and watching games. In addition, inspired by a long time friend facing adversity, Antoine and his friend joined together in 2016 to form Elite Trucks. Currently running three trucks, they are planning for a modest expansion. Antoine’s main goal through this business venture is to empower his friends and individuals, setting them up for independent success in the trucking industry.
Real Estate
Antoine and his wife, Samantha, are focused on building generational wealth through real estate ventures. With Samantha’s real estate expertise and the couple’s focus on growing and learning together, they predominantly focus on residential properties, from fix-and-flips to long-term holdings. Supported through a mentorship, Antoine started SASA Management and invested in diverse companies. He has a vision of using his new knowledge and creating a private equity fund that not only generates financial stability, but also empowers communities by investing in startups and businesses that impact everyday life. The couple’s balanced investment portfolio reflects a commitment to doing good while securing their financial future, driven by a passion for supporting innovative ideas and providing resources where they’re needed most.
The Bethea Family Foundation
Conducting college tours, hosting giveaways, providing Christmas aid, or even serving as a principal for a day at a local school are just a few of the ways The Bethea Family Foundation strives to serve the Newport News community. In the midst of its flagship project, the Safehaven Empowerment Center, the foundation plans to provide a holistic support system for youth and adults, offering amenities like an indoor swimming pool and basketball courts, health services, and a variety of other support services. Partnering with Newport News City Council, the center will serve as a cornerstone of the Foundation’s efforts to meet the diverse needs of the community.
Bet On Yourself
Now an author, Antoine Bethea published his book “Bet on Yourself: Inside the Mind of the Ultimate Underdog” in 2018. Antoine believes that we all have stories to tell and wanted to share his own personal experiences so that his words could inspire people that he has never met. More than a self-help book, Bet on Yourself is a collection of personal stories and lessons that Antoine has learned.
