Aloe Blacc Joins Pro Athlete Community (PAC) as Official Artist-in-Residence

Pro Athlete Community (PAC), the first-of-its-kind community built exclusively for pro athletes to navigate life beyond sports, today announced the launch of its first Artist-in-Residence program with Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter, Aloe Blacc. The new role marks the launch of an ongoing creative partnership designed to bring PAC’s mission to life through music.

Aloe Blacc is a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, producer, and performer best known for his smash-hit songs, “I Need a Dollar,” and “The Man,” and his vocals on Avicii’s global hit “Wake Me Up.” Across his career, he has released multiple studio albums and built a catalog that spans soul, pop, R&B, and hip-hop. His music has reached international audiences and has been featured across film, television, and major brand campaigns. Blacc describes his thematic musical style through the acronym A.I.M., which stands for Affirmation, Inspiration, and Motivation, reflecting a career rooted in storytelling, perseverance, and purpose.

“Taking on the role of Artist-in-Residence with PAC is incredibly meaningful because it brings together two things I care about deeply: music and purpose,” said Aloe Blacc. “Athletes have powerful stories that extend far beyond the field of play, and this project is an opportunity to help bring those voices forward. I’m excited to work with PAC and its members to create together, allowing us to collectively celebrate the resilience, drive, and purpose of professional athletes.”

As PAC’s Artist-in-Residence, Blacc will advise and work with PAC’s membership base in a plethora of different ways. Blacc will take a seat on the PAC Business Leadership Council, working with other leaders in business, entertainment, and the arts to foster meaningful connections for PAC members. Blacc will also work with PAC members directly, advising them on how to create pathways to artistic empowerment, and musical expression of their stories.

PAC exists to help professional athletes build meaningful lives beyond sports, and this partnership gives our community a new way to share the stories behind that journey,” said Chip Paucek, CEO of Pro Athlete Community. “Aloe Blacc has built a career creating music that speaks to themes that deeply reflect the experiences of our athletes. As our first Artist-in-Residence, Aloe will help us turn those stories into something people can hear, feel, and be part of.

Since being created in 2022, PAC has assisted more than 2,500 current and former professional athletes with the next steps in their life following the conclusion of their elite competitive careers, whether that be further educational goals, business ventures, or giving back to the community. Athletes from across the sports world have participated in and committed to building their futures with PAC, including former NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, PGA, and MLS players, plus athletes who competed in Snowboarding, Skiing, Curling and MMA. PAC membership has a combined Instagram follower base of over 38 million.
