Wired for impact

Determined to succeed beyond his MLB career, Matt Joyce began investing in real estate as soon as he joined the big leagues. Known for reading Rich Dad Poor Dad on bus rides to avoid becoming a broke athlete, Matt built a substantial single-family property portfolio and transformed a school into a 16-unit property. He is a general partner in the property development fund Sight Real Estate, though he remains a passive investor. Near the end of his baseball career, Matt opened five F45 fitness studios all around the Tampa Bay area focused on HIIT style workouts, strength, and cardio. He also ventured into broadcasting with Bally’s and Apple TV, and he’s involved with the Empire League, an independent baseball league based in upstate New York. Most recently, he supports Guardian Baseball, an online baseball equipment retailer, showing Matt is truly wired for success in diverse sectors.

Real Estate

Starting his real estate journey upon entering the big leagues, Matt invested in single-family properties to secure his financial future early on. Progressing to larger projects like converting a school into a 16-unit property, which he later sold, Matt’s portfolio expanded strategically. Now involved as a general partner in Sight Real Estate, a property development fund, Matt leverages his passive approach while his partner handles operations. This shift reflects his continuous learning and adaptation in the real estate sector, aiming to build wealth and stability beyond his baseball career. Ready to Get started?

My experience with PAC has been incredible. There is a tremendous need for helping players transition out of the league, especially in learning about money and business. Players are wired to go, but without direction and support, the process can be frustrating. PAC is doing an outstanding job addressing this. Much of the value comes from the network, being around similar athletes facing the same challenges. We relate to each other, ask questions, and learn together. The speakers add immense value; hearing from top business minds helps cut the learning curve and reduce mistakes. The networking, educational insights, and observing the business strategies from some of the best minds in the business have been invaluable. It’s been a cool and impactful experience.
