Pro Athlete Community (PAC) Partners with Robinhood to Build Financial Confidence in Athletes

Pro Athlete Community (PAC), the first-of-its-kind community built exclusively for professional athletes navigating life beyond sports, today announced a new partnership with Robinhood. This collaboration marks Robinhood’s first Money Drills™ partnership with professional athletes. Through the partnership, PAC members will receive access to financial education via in-person programming and graduate-level education opportunities, designed to support them as they navigate the financial transitions that accompany the end of their playing careers.

The partnership advances the mission of Money Drills™ to empower athletes and students by expanding access to on-campus, for-credit personal finance courses. A central component of the collaboration is the PAC x Robinhood Money Drills Ambassador Program, which will bring PAC members back to their respective alma maters to participate in Money Drills classes.

These ambassador visits reinforce Robinhood’s mission to broaden access to financial education for students and athletes, while leveraging PAC’s member network to help build financial confidence among the next generation of athletes. The next official PAC x Robinhood Money Drills ambassador session will take place at Boise State University. On March 2, PAC member Charles Leno Jr. will return to his alma mater to visit the Money Drills course and share insights gained throughout his NFL career and subsequent business ventures with current Bronco student-athletes and students enrolled in the class. Leno Jr., a 10-year NFL veteran with the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders, played offensive tackle at Boise State from 2009 to 2013.

Robinhood’s mission is to democratize finance for all. The company has transformed financial services by introducing commission-free stock trading and expanding market access for millions of investors.

“We’re thrilled to extend the work of Money Drills to professional athletes. Financial skills are essential at every life stage and we’re excited to help incorporate financial education into PAC’s comprehensive educational program,” said Chloe Barz, Senior Director of International Government and External Affairs at Robinhood Markets, Inc. “We also look forward to having

PAC athletes visit Money Drills classrooms at partner universities across the country to share valuable learnings with our collegiate community members.”

Since its founding in 2022, PAC has assisted current and former professional athletes with the next steps in their life following the conclusion of their elite competitive careers, whether that be further educational goals, business ventures, or giving back to the community. Athletes from across the sports landscape have become part of the PAC network of members, including current and former NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, PGA, and MLS players, plus athletes who have competed in professional Snowboarding, Skiing, Curling and MMA. PAC’s mission is to empower all professional athletes to not only envision their future, but relentlessly pursue it with confidence, purpose, and authenticity.

PAC Quote:
“For our community, this partnership is about delivering essential, financial skills that will equip our members for life beyond sport,” said Chip Paucek, Co-Founder and CEO of Pro Athlete Community. “These ambassador visits create a virtuous cycle, giving professional athletes the opportunity to return to the communities and campuses that shaped them and share lessons they often had to learn the hard way. The partnership allows our members to receive critical education and give back to the places that helped shape them.”

As NIL and revenue share opportunities continue to reshape collegiate athletics, initiatives like Money Drills help ensure student-athletes are equipped with the knowledge needed to manage income responsibly and plan for what comes next.
