NEW YORK, NY (August 5, 2025) – Pro Athlete Community (PAC), the first-of-its-kind network built exclusively for pro athletes to navigate life beyond sports, today announced it has officially opened its membership to all current and former professional athletes from verified leagues. More than 350 professional athletes applied to join the exclusive community in the beta launch of this membership drive over the last two weeks, resulting in PAC members now totalling more than 1,000 current and former professional athletes, from more than 10 different leagues and sports.
Any current or former professional athlete, from a verified league, can submit an application to confirm their pro status, before becoming a PAC member at no cost. PAC’s verification process ensures the protection of the exclusive network, maintaining professional sports experience as the main prerequisite for admission. Every part of the PAC experience has been intentionally designed to support the whole person — whether pro athletes are launching a business, exploring a new career path, investing in leadership, or simply seeking clarity on what’s next for them. Onboarding includes 1-on-1 leadership coaching and guidance from a PAC Member Success Liaison to customize the experience and meet the athletes where they are. This open membership launch is a key part of PAC’s long-term vision to build a sustainable, athlete-first community for elite performers committed to growth beyond their game. Previously, prospective members had to attend an in-person combine to gain full membership into the PAC family. Since being created in 2022, PAC has assisted current and former professional athletes with the next steps in their life following the conclusion of their elite competitive careers, whether that be further educational goals, business ventures, or giving back to the community. Athletes from across the sports landscape have become part of the PAC network of members, including current and former NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL, PGA, and MLS players, plus athletes who have competed in professional Snowboarding, Skiing, Curling and MMA. This moment marks a major milestone in PAC’s mission: to empower all professional athletes to not only envision their future, but relentlessly pursue it with confidence, purpose, and authenticity.

With this open enrollment drive, new members who haven’t attended an in-person event can still unlock the PAC member experience. This includes skill-building courses and career training, investment pitch events and career-focused webinars, opportunities in finance, entrepreneurship, and wellness, a dedicated Member Success Liaison, and direct mentorship from PAC educators, advisors and curated network of founders and CEOs. Furthermore, all PAC members will receive invitations to regional meetups, business summits, and exclusive networking events across industries, plus discounts from PAC-partner organizations in branding, web design, mental performance, custom apparel, and much more.

PAC defines a pro athlete as someone who competes — or has competed — in sports or athletic events as their primary occupation, earning income through contracts, prize money, stipends, or sponsorships tied directly to competition through a recognized professional league, Olympic body, or international sporting federation. Collegiate athletes who have not competed professionally are not eligible for membership.
